Dear Changing the Way We Care Supporters,
The Changing the Way We Care initiative’s contract with USAID was officially terminated on February 27, 2025, following a review of all USAID awards and contracts by the Secretary of State and the Acting USAID Administrator.
The Changing the Way We Care initiative will continue with funding from Catholic Relief Services and the GHR Foundation. We thank USAID for their support over almost seven years of the initiative.
We also want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support over the years. Together, we have achieved successes such as reintegrating over 1,000 children into families in Kenya, influencing family-based care policies in Guatemala and Moldova, and providing essential resources to young adults transitioning out of residential care. Your dedication to Changing the Way We Care’s vision that all children thrive in a nurturing family has been truly inspiring.
As we transition to this new chapter with CRS and the GHR Foundation, we remain grateful for the impact we created together with USAID.
